OB this morning I got an early start and it was good. A surfer asked me if he had gotten under the lip of his wave. I told him he had. My new role: “tube ref.”

Was in the water with surfers genuinely supporting each other. It’s most often groups of girls or women that are most positively affirming. Good to be adjacent to that energy today. Onward!

I love this pier.
I hit OB for some small waves today before visiting the hospital. My cousin is there. It’s great to see progress and healing. There’s never any guarantees in life. We take it a day at a time. Hour at a time. And again, and again.

I went to OB this morning and had fun. I can feel the summer winding down. I’ve not posted to IG lately in favor of other platforms, including my own website. And the world… well, it’s a difficult time for so many right now. There’s so much misery: much of it inflicted by terrible and often venal leadership. Be good to yourself, and be good to others. Participate in the government you’re a citizen of. You are the people. And the people have power.
